Congregational Care Ministry
Our Congregational Care Committee provides direct support for members of the congregation who have physical, emotional or spiritual needs.
This care is shown through:
- Occasional meals
- Occasional home visits
- Rides to church
- Rides to medical appointments
- Visits to those no longer able to come to church
- Telephone calls
- Writing of cards during times of need: bereavement, illness, life changes
- Facilitation of lending closet: bedside commodes, shower chairs, walkers, crutches
- Hospitality and support for funerals: Assisting with light refreshment, greeters/ushers, anticipation of family needs during that time

As of January 1, 2025, our beloved Volunteer Congregational Nurse, Donna Rutherford, has retired from her position on staff. Use the button below to read her letter to this church family. In the meantime, our staff is collaborating with the Congregational Care Committee to develop a new approach to meeting the needs of our congregation.
