Welcome to St. Andrew’s Library,
Home to over 1,300 books ranging from topics in history to social justice to Christianity and world religions. You can find something for every generation in our library -- we have a wonderful selection of picture books.
We are proud of the collection we have curated for our community over the years through donations and a modest operating budget. Our selection of books reflects our identity as a welcoming and inclusive church. We truly lean into the progressive value of committing to a journey of life-long learning, believing there is more value in questioning than in absolutes.

Book of the Month
Our book-of-the-month, The Queer Thing About Sin, by Harry Tanner explores the relationship between queerness, Christian theology, and the concept of sin - not by arguing that queer people are merely “acceptable,” but by questioning the framework many churches use to define morality, shame, and human difference. Tanner examines how sin has historically been tied to social conformity and respectability, while challenging readers to reconsider what liberation, grace, and authenticity actually look like in practice.
Thoughtful, challenging, deeply human, and refreshing in its refusal to settle for easy answers. One of the strongest aspects is the refusal to reduce queer people to a “topic” for debate. Identity, faith, shame, and community are approached with nuance and compassion while taking theology seriously. That balance is rare. A worthwhile read for anyone wrestling with faith, belonging, morality, or what it means to exist fully and honestly within systems that prefer things neat and binary.

Donation Policy
We have a small library with limited space, so we no longer accept used book donations. Instead, we have chosen to curate a limited wish list of new titles that we would like to add to our library. That said, we think donating your books is a great idea! Check out this helpful website for a list of local organizations that would love to have your books.
